Water near cooking appliances is an electrical and slip hazard: spills into cooktops, leaks at nearby plumbing, and what to do before a visit.
This site does not service dishwashers as a confirmed La Cornue category. Water still appears in cooking kitchens: a pot boiled over into a cooktop, a supply line near a range, or a hood condensate issue in rare installs. Water plus electricity is the risk.
If water reached controls or a cracked cooktop, stop using the appliance and shut off power if you can do so safely. Do not run an oven or cooktop to “dry it out.”
Stand in a dry area. Do not reach into standing water to unplug a range. If gas is also present, do not pull the appliance.
